Come See Amazing, Creative, & Fun Scarecrows!

Fun And Creative Scarecrows will line the streets of Historic Downtown Leesburg for the entire month of October!
Build your own scarecrow to represent your family, business, school, or organization, and have it displayed!

Who can have a scarecrow in the display?

Any business entity, including schools, or residents currently residing in the Leesburg area. ( Including Fruitland Park, Lady Lake, Yalaha, Okahumpka, and The Villages.)

What are the requirements?

The shape and concept of the work should reflect the theme of “Scarecrow” and that of your family or organization. including name. The works must measure a minimum of 6’h x 5’w, and not higher than 10’h. No Profanity, Politics, or Religion can be associated with your scarecrow.

Construction note:  That Scarecrows will be placed outdoors and will be in a high traffic environment, and experience adverse weather conditions.

Frames and wooden signs will be provided if needed by the Leesburg Partnership while quantities last.

You must register online before Sept 29, 2020. Finished Scarecrows must be delivered to the Leesburg Center of the Arts on or before September 30th.

    • Frames can only be used for this event and will be collected at the end of the event.
    • I understand that the Leesburg Partnership may use photographs of actual scarecrow entries and names of entries for publicity and promotion. Participants must leave scarecrow on display through October 31st.. The Leesburg Partnership is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items associated with the scarecrow. Leave scarecrows at your own risk. Scarecrows will be removed and disposed of by the Leesburg Partnership by October 31, 2020

Additional Information

This project is a partnership between CFA, Leesburg Partnership, and the Downtown Leesburg Business Association. The Scarecrows are intended to further engage visitors and to bring awareness to the importance of supporting local business and historic downtowns. The Scarecrows will be installed in green spaces of the intersections throughout the footprint of the downtown area on Main St. Installation will take place October 1st and October 2nd. Site selection will be done by CFA and LP staff and representatives.
